 | Two Gunmen Steal £40million Worth Of Gems In Britain's Biggest Jewel Heist
Wed, August 12nd 2009, 10:58 EST | | In what’s being hailed as Britain’s biggest jewel heist, two gunmen casually strolled into Graff Jewelers in Mayfair, an upscale London store, and stole gems worth £40million.
The robbers struck at 4.20pm, on Thursday, after convincing a security guard to let them in. They then drew handguns before stealing 43 pieces of jeweler in less than two minutes. Their pillage included diamond earrings and a platinum white diamond ring.
The burglars were captured on CCTV before firing two shots and escaping. They then jumped into a blue BMW which was parked close and smashed into a taxi a minute later.
The crooks got out and fired a second shot, forcing pedestrians to take flight and then got into a Mercedes Benz and sped away. | |

Hosted by The Jonas Brothers, Joe, Kevin and Nick, The Teen Choice Awards honor celebrities in TV, film, music and sports, as selected by over 83 million online votes.
Kevin Jonas, who recently gave girlfriend Danielle Deleasa an engagement ring, had more reason to celebrate, as he and his brothers took home 5 awards, including choice male red carpet icons. The siblings performed at the start of the ceremony and completed fan-submitted dares throughout the program. | |

Mon, August 10th 2009, 14:16 EST | | In more king of pop-related news, the godfather of Michael Jackson's three children is claiming to be the father of the singer's daughter, Paris.
In a video interview with Jackson's longtime friend Mark Lester, 51, broadcast on the News of the World Web site, Lester states he donated his sperm at a London clinic. He said Jackson had already exchanged wedding rings with Debbie Rowe at the time.
Now Lester is arguing: "I gave Michael my sperm so that he could have kids — and I believe Paris is my daughter." He further elaborated: "It's been a secret for too long. In 1996 Michael asked me if I would give him my sperm and I said yes. It was a gift to him, no money was paid, it was something I was honoured to do. He wanted children so badly.”

Sun, August 9th 2009, 08:50 EST | | Since quitting ‘American Idol’ last week, Paula Abdul has been receiving offers, including a spot on ABC’s hit show, ‘Dancing with the Stars’. According to ABC Entertainment President Steve McPherson, he called her right after he heard about her exit from ‘American Idol’ to let her know she was welcome anytime on ‘Dancing with the Stars’.
Abdul, who famously exchanged wedding rings with The Breakfast Club star, Emilio Estevez, in 1992, has seen a real up shift in her career since appearing on ‘American Idol’.
About inviting Abdul to appear on Dancing with the Stars, McPherson had some very kind and generous words: “I told her we'd love to have her on 'Dancing' - as a judge, a guest star or a contestant. She's a huge talent. I think there's a sensitivity and a kind of emotion to her that balances out 'Idol.' And we'd love to get a piece of that. It would be great."

In yet another instance of life mirroring art, the real-life couple also plays a passionate couple on the hit show: Paquin plays the telepathic Sookie Stackhouse, who is in love with vampire Bill Compton, played by Moyer.
New Zealand born Paquin, 27, is a successful film actress. She won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar in 1994 for her role in ‘The Piano’, opposite Holly Hunter and Harvey Keitel, when she was only 11 years old. She also had a prominent role in the blockbuster X-Men franchise, alongside Hugh Jackman and Halle Berry. “True Blood” is her first major Television series and she won a Golden Globe for her performance earlier this year.

She has served on the show for eight seasons.

Since January, the singer of the hit song ‘Umbrella’ had been seen flashing an engagement ring reportedly given to her by Chris Brown, although the two have kept any word of an engagement under wraps.
Until recently, Chris Brown, the singer of ‘Forever’, has not addressed the February assault incident publicly, except for a video message he released in July. His appearance on Larry King Live would be his third apology.
