Unlike white diamonds which sometimes appear yellow-ish, yellow diamonds are considered fancy only when they are graded so according to the following terms: light yellow, fancy light yellow, fancy yellow, fancy intense yellow, fancy dark yellow, fancy deep yellow and fancy vivid yellow. Approximately sixty percent of all fancy color diamonds are considered fancy yellow.
