GlossaryCuletSmall facet at the bottom of a finished gemstone. The culet is the point at the bottom of the diamond. Most diamonds have no culet. Meaning that all of the facets come to a sharp point. The preferred ratings would be “none” or “small”, seeing that larger culets or openings at the bottom of the diamond can allow light to leakage to occur.
