Beautiful, beautiful ring. The tapering at the shoulders is unique among pave settings (and gives the appearance of a larger stone). The pave setting is a true bead set. The six-prong is attractive and secure, and the milgrain really gives it a personal, antique-ish feel. My only complaint is that the scrollwork on the side appears to make a heartshape with the Vs in the setting. The scrollwork on our ring is not quite as intricate. It looks more like little filled in circles (more like filled-in "8" rather than an open "3"), but maybe it appears more as pictured in rings with larger stones (ours was 3/4 ct) Otherwise, gorgeous ring! Nothing but compliments so far!
