A carat is a unit of measurement, it's the unit used to weigh a diamond. One carat is equal to 200 milligrams, or 0.20 grams. Therefore, a 2.10 Carat diamond weighs 0.42 grams, or 420 milligrams, and a 10.00 Carat diamond weighs 2.0 grams, or 2000 milligrams. There are many, super high quality diamonds that fall in this range and you can easily spend $300,000 on a particular stone.
