| 2.10-10.00 Carat Diamonds |
A carat is a unit of measurement, it's the unit used to weigh a diamond. One carat is equal to 200 milligrams, or 0.20 grams. Therefore, a 2.10 Carat diamond weighs 0.42 grams, or 420 milligrams, and a 10.00 Carat diamond weighs 2.0 grams, or 2000 milligrams.
There are many, super high quality diamonds that fall in this range and you can easily spend $300,000 on a particular stone. Diamonds of this caliber are obviously very rare, and the cost reflects their uniqueness.
If you are still confused, look at what celebrities are getting for engagement rings. Recently, some of the diamond cuts that were considered ‘old-fashioned’ have come back strong. Cushion-cut diamonds grace the fingers of Heidi Klum, Ivanka Trump, Salma Hayek, Jennifer Lopez, and Mena Suvari. The classic round brilliant is on the engagement rings of Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Hudson, Gisele Bundchen, and Carmen Electra (although hers is a black diamond). One thing that most of these rings have in common is that they are pavé set, giving each one a whole lot of sparkle. If you still feel a little overwhelmed, then just follow your instincts - she loves you for a reason. |
