My girlfriend found the exact engagement ring she wanted at James Allen. I was uneasy though making a purchase of this magnitude over the internet. I searched every local jeweler and could not find anything I felt was comparable to the ring. I then explored having the ring made locally - as quotes started to come in it didn't seem to make much sense and a local honest jeweler told me as much. He said if they can give you that ring in platinum with a certified diamond of those specs for that price, you should do it - especially since they have what is considered a very liberal return policy for the industry. So I decided to call James Allen and talk to someone - hoping it would help with my uneasiness.... And it did. I received the ring today (the day they promised it to me) and it is beautiful. I can't wait to see her face when I propose and see this ring on her finger. Thank you.

The Customer Service department was very friendly and never hesitated to answer any of my questions. I was very weary about buying an engagement ring I couldn't "touch" before purchasing, however, the staff at James Allen assured me I would be more than satisfied with the quality of the ring I chose, that it would meet all the standards I had set or I could return the ring for a full refund. The engagement ring was absolutely beautiful. We chose to go from a .25 total carat weight to a .50 total carat weigh on the three stone ring and are very happy with the results. There is no comparison when matched up with other similar rings. The quality of the diamonds sets this ring apart. It sparkles and shines when compared to other rings that just seem to be dim. Though we paid twice as much for the ring than a 1-carat total weight from other dealers we would recommend the excellence of craftsmanship and quality of diamonds to anyone of our closest friends. We have received nothing but dazzling compliments for this once in a lifetime experience. Thank you James Allen for making the proposal one step easier. We would certainly shop from you again. I gave the necklace to my wife on Friday for our 15th wedding anniversary and she was thrilled. (1.5 carats = 15 years I figure) Her brother had bought a comparable stone last year for his fianc? (now wife) and he spent about $13,000! A jeweler in the local mall had been searching for me for the last few weeks. She finally had a stone and the last thing I did Friday, before giving the present to my wife, was check out her stone. It was a G color SI1 1.5 carat. I looked at it without the loop and then looked again. Then I used the loop to confirm what I saw. It had a large, white, tear shaped mark on the surface of the table. She said, “I guess that is why my diamond guy is willing to let it go so cheap.” She still wanted $12,500 for it! Since she seems like a nice person I showed her our new necklace and explained that I had bought it from you guys in case she did not come through for me. You could literally see her jaw drop as she eyed it. All she had to say was, “That’s a nice stone – I hope you will still think of us for your other jewelry purchases. ”I am not sure when I will be buying more diamonds. I am thinking my wife might need new earrings for our 20th anniversary. You know, 1.0 plus 1.0 equals 2.0 carats. I am not sure if I will be able to afford anything before then. Rest assured, though, that I will be telling my friends about my great experience with James Allen for a long time to come.
