Just wanted to let you know that I got my diamond set today in a platinum, lucida style setting.  I got my local jeweler down to a good price, they even let me watch the jeweler set my stone and resize it.  The ring is gorgeous, and I can hardly wait until it is actually mine!  (He still has to propose!)  I would highly recommend you to anyone, the diamond is exactly as you described, and with it being a .71 carat, VVS1 / F color, it is way better than anything else that I could have found locally!  I couldn't have found a diamond of half that quality for the price you gave me!  Once again, thank you so very much!  You and Josh were extremely helpful and caring, and I would be willing to recommend you to anyone, and if you want me to write up a testimonial, I will!  Thanks again!

Ordering an engagement ring online is kinda unnerving, even for someone like me who does most of my shopping on the net -- but once I saw the prices inferior quality diamonds were fetching at the "usual" jewelry chains, I decided to give it a shot... Now I'm your average dumb guy when it comes to this stuff. To prepare myself for the big purchase, I did some online research about the 4 C's and what to look for in a diamond. I tend to obsess on this stuff -- so fast forward a couple of days and I'm suddenly a home-schooled diamond expert, a veteran of the industry... I know what to look for in a table-depth ratio for optimum shine. I know to steer clear of laser drilling and irradiation. But no matter how much preparation I put in, regardless of how much I thought I knew, I'm still... ...a dumb guy when it comes to this stuff. I couldn't bring myself to spend that kinda money, without talking to a real person, discussing the options, and pinning some sort of accountability on a human other than myself.After reading a couple of reviews on the various online outfits I decided to pick up the phone and call James Allen -- before I was gonna click on any "buy me" buttons, I needed the piece of mind in knowing that I could talk to someone immediately if I had a problem. I ended up speaking with a sales associate for about 20 minutes, just going over some options and looking for reassurance, with no pressure to buy. Cool. A week goes by, and I decide to pull the trigger on a Danhov setting paired with a loose diamond listed on their site. Everyone I talked to seemed to know who I was and what I was ordering.--they provided clear instructions, and kept steady email contact through every phase of the purchase.--I never once felt like someone was trying to "sell" me a diamond.--the sales staff and management just seemed like good people. I'd share a beer with any of 'em. In the end, I wound up with a beautiful ring. I had a great experience with the folks at James Allen, and would recommend them without hesitation.

Hi Ashley! I FINALLY got my rings yesterday. WOW!! ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!! My husband surprised me last night, had a baby sitter lined up for our daughters Georgia 9 and Brianna 7, and took me to a local spot with a Gazebo. He had help and already waiting in the gazebo was 14 long stem roses (1 for each year we've been married), a CD player with our wedding song ready to play, and down on one knee re-committing his love for me as he placed my new rings on my finger.
