I have not had a chance until now to email you about the engagement ring that I had purchased from you. It arrived this past President's Day . The stone and ring were just as you had described them and they are stunning! My fianc?e cannot help but look at her hand every 5 minutes. Indoor fluorescent, outdoor diffused, outdoor direct light, it does not matter, the stone is bright and full of fire and flash. The setting is also elegant and we are both happy that we went with the 4-prong solitaire instead of the setting with the side stones. The communication and openness I received from your staff was fabulous. The value and service I received from James Allen was wonderful and I would not hesitate to recommend friends from shopping with you online. I recently made a significant purchase with James Allen. My order consisted of a 2.04 VS2 quality ideal diamond as well as a custom Danhov platinum ring. I can’t say enough about the quality and the level of service I experienced with JamesAllen.com BTW, and in the spirit of full disclosure, I have purchased items from Jim before, even before he was James Allen…most notably when the company was called Dirt Cheap Diamonds and Jim would answer the phone, “Dirt, this is Jim”. While Jim has certainly upgraded many of the amenities since those early days, the biggest factor is the one that bears the greatest mention. If you are stressed about sending $25,000 to a complete stranger (or $2,000 for that matter) for something you haven’t seen and probably don’t know much about…you shouldn’t. Jim is a first class guy and does things the old fashioned way. If there is a problem, he’ll deal with it. If something happens, he’ll take care of it. He won’t rest until you are happy. If you are the kind of person that has to look someone deep in the eyes and read their soul, JamesAllen.com is not for you. If you can accept the fact that you can trust Jim to send you exactly what you paid for, and by doing so you will save a lot of money, or at the least get a much better diamond than you would have with the same amount of money elsewhere, then JamesAllen.com is for you. As I mentioned, I ordered the diamond and decided to have it built into a ring all at once. I placed the order, sent it off, and received the wire instructions as promised. While I was out driving around to complete the wire, I got a call from someone in the 301 area code. I didn’t recognize the number, so I answered. Turns out it was Jim thanking me for my purchase, and congratulating me on the upcoming wedding. We joked about his early beginnings, and ended the call. I went to the bank, zipped off the money, and got a confirmation email that the order was confirmed, and I would have the ring in exactly two weeks. As promised, two weeks later FedEx rang my doorbell, and handed me a medium sized express box. I ripped it open and was surprised by what I saw. Inside the box was another very professional looking box with the James Allen logo imprinted into the lid. I opened it and found not only the original AGS certificate, but also a copy, an appraisal which came in handy when I got it insured (most places charge for this), some literature about the 4cs which I already knew, and last but not least a nice rosewood box with leather insert containing the ring. I whipped out my 10X loupe and compared the stone to the one which I saw on the certificate. It was a dead match. The ring was perfect. My expectations were exceeded. The presentation was a success as well. You can spend more for a ring elsewhere, but you won’t find a better value than at JamesAllen.com

I just wanted to send you a note thanking you for being such a great company with such great people.  After much (MUCH!) research I purchased a stone and setting from your company and Jennifer Norbury was extremely helpful.  I was in a time crunch since I was leaving for vacation and wanted to pop the question while on vacation.  Jennifer consulted with the jeweler regarding the rush timing to build the ring and sure enough, it got there exactly when she said it would and I couldn't have been happier with the stone and setting.  However, the best part was still to come.  When I brought it in to an appraiser today, he said it actually graded out 2 levels better on the colorscope than the GIA cert.  That being said he of course couldn't change the grade, but even with the GIA grade, he gave it a retail value of 155% of what I paid for the ring!!!  Unbelievable value, amazing customer service and I will be HIGHLY recommending your company to everyone!!

I bought an e-ring through James Allen. I lurked on Pricescope's forums for several months before looking for a loose diamond in earnest. James Allen's stones consistently were more competitively priced than those from other e-vendors that provide similar online services (detailed certificate information to calculate HCA scores, real diamond photographs). When I was ready to buy, I called James Allen and spoke with a representative, who was very helpful and ordered Sarin reports on the stones I was considering. I also had him check to see whether the SI1 stones were eye-clean (they were). The finished ring is beautiful and my fiancee loves it so much.

James Allen provided a well-stocked database of loose diamonds to browse through. Many of the diamonds contained magnified images of the exact diamond up for sale. After chosing the ring style and diamond I desired James Allen services promptly produced and shipped the ring. When I opened the package I was relieved and very impressed with the entire package... but especially the ring. Very beautiful. All of that and the best prices I could find.
